All 6 of my grandkids seem to be on the right track...considering where some of them are growing up. It's very hard to buck the teaching trends in some of the West coast schools, and I sincerely wish the kids were all here with me in the Heartland!

I passed it on to my daughters who are raising kids born into this, Gen Z, time frame. Fortunately all 3 grandkids seem to have established a healthy balance between the screen & the real world. It seems, many do not.
Passing it along to your daughters is about the best compliment I could get. And it sounds like your grandkids are doing well. The screen isn’t going away. Learning to keep it in its proper place may be the real challenge.
Kids are very resilient, as we discovered while growing up. But they still need guidance. Most of what I received was more implied than forced. But it was still present and meaningful.
