Sorry, folks. I’m in Southern California, where the power has been shut off because of high winds and dangerous fire conditions.
I’m traveling, so I don’t have my usual backup generator handy. And without power, I can’t use my “big” computer to assemble and publish the newsletter.
So I’m putting this edition together on an iPad, using my iPhone for an Internet connection.
This will be short, but hopefully entertaining.
One of my readers sent me this short video. Whether you’re for or against SI (the technology formerly known as AI), I think you’ll get a kick out of it.

Unfortunately, Katie Zacharia was unable to comment due to sudden loss of platform.
If the power comes back on in time, I’ll publish a normal newsletter later.
